I've had this for a bit now, mainly as a means to interact with my new and loving wife. I suppose I need to post at least one journal. HERE GOES.

Been an eventful few weeks. I got married to my beautiful fiancee of several years (if you are reading this, you probably know her). Soon after we got our first real vacation in several years.

It was interrupted however when a family member fell ill. She'd had cancer for several years (third time) and didn't tell anyone. Quite spontaneously it flared up and she passed away in a matter of days on April 19th. Not so pleasant end to an otherwise good honeymoon vacation.

Liss was a bit reluctant at first, as  I made a decision following her passing. I had been toying with the idea of getting a prince albert piercing for a while; and after her passing, the wake, and the funeral... I was in a mood where I pretty much didn't care about anything, including the fear of having a tattooed and dread locked (albeit hot) guy stick a spike through my goods. Not really a way to mourn, though someone pointed out it's a hell of a way to do so xD. Being naked or having the guy handle me wasn't really an issue in the slightest, more the fear that everything I'd been expecting was a lie and it was going to be the most excruciating experience of my life.

It was amazingly tame. My ears hurt worse, all of them. It was a brief sharp pain, and it was done. I am a bleeder, however. When I got my ears pierced straight to a 10g I had blood dripping down my neck. This was... wow. The guy was even a bit surprised, I think. He applied some gauze and rubber-banded a latex glove around my goods and sent me on my way. By the time we got home and I got ready to take a shower, all the fingertips of the glove were full of blood and the gauze were drenched. In the shower, it was a constant drip. Had I not read up or been expecting that, I'd of been petrified.

I did that to two more gloves before the bleeding finally stopped. Honestly, if anyone I don't know happens across this and is considering one of those piercings or knows someone who does.. If they afraid of the pain, while your mileage my vary it is nothing near what you'd expect. The piercer I went to had used the method involving the receiving tube, so I don't know about the other various methods and the pain associated. But, meh. The pain lasts about 5 seconds.

Despite everything going on, the piercing was probably of the most interest to anyone who may read this and subsequently the only one I could go into any lengthy discussion on. Our wedding was very very small, in fact just a deal at the courthouse with immediate family. Liss and I are not into the whole huge wedding thing, so we were perfectly happy with that. Unless someone wants vivid details of the honeymoon there isn't too much else to talk about.

P.S.: email for pics of piercing, lulz.
